Director: Michael K. Skinner, Ph.D. Objectives: The Administrative Core will oversee the general operations of the Center and Programs including fiscal management and coordination of program activities. The Core includes the Director, Associate Director, Administrative Assistant, and fiscal management personnel. The Administrative Core will provide assistance to all of the projects and other cores. The services provided by the core include: a) Fiscal management of the Center. This includes reconciliation of expenditures, allocation of funds, management of subcontracts, and budget reporting to the investigators, University and agency. b) Oversee the general operations of the Center. This includes activities such as the seminar program, coordination of meeting such as the routine research conferences, and monitoring of core laboratory activities and reporting. c) Assist in monitoring the quality control of Center activities and research through the coordination of routine review by the WSU Steering Committee and External Advisory Board. d) Coordinated interactions with the University and NIH. This includes preparation of non-competing renewals and yearly University reporting to committees such as animal care and human subjects. Resources and Environment: The Administrative Core of the Center includes the Director, Associate-Director, and members of the administrative services unit of the Center for Reproductive Biology which is an Organized Research Unit at WSU. The Center is an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary research and training unit established by the University in 1997. The administrative offices of the Center are located in Science Hall near the laboratories of Drs. Skinner. The Center's administrative team has experience in grant and financial administration as well as support services such as project coordination. Administration of this Center budgets is under the direction of Tom Martin, Grants Manager, who supervises and oversees financial matters.
