In March 2008, Professor Yoshitaka Nagahama will be retiring from his position at the National Institute of Basic Biology, Okazaki, Japan. To honor his numerous contributions to the field of reproductive biology, an international symposium on "Sex Determination and Gametogenesis in Fish: Current Status and Future Directions" will be held May 30-June 1, 2008 in Honolulu, HI.
