RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Production medicine with focus on reproductive biology and biotechnology of dairy and beef cattle. Hormonal manipulation of the estrous cycle to improve conception and reduce embryonic loss, superovulation and gamete cryopreservation techniques of bovine species.

RESEARCH SUMMARY:

My research interest is focused on production medicine emphasizing reproductive biology and biotechnology of dairy and beef cattle. Recently, I have developed studies that evaluate the effects of hormonal manipulation of the estrous cycle to improve conception and reduce embryonic loss and to optimize superovulation response in the bovine species. Moe specifically, I have concluded studies that evaluate different methods of resynchronization of previously inseminated dairy cows, factors affecting conception rate and pregnancy loss in lactating dairy cows, superovulation protocols in dairy heifers, effect of subcutaneous injection of PGF on luteal regression, economical and reproductive efficacy of different pre-synchronized protocols for dairy cows.
