RESEARCH SUMMARY:
Amplicon Vaccine licensed a cloned LHRH (Luteinizing Hormone Releasing Hormone) chimeric, reproduction control vaccine technology from WSURF (Washington State University Research Foundation) reproductive. Through a strong collaboration with Dr. Jerry Reeves lab and joint funding through WTC (Washington Technology Center), a wide variety of pre-clinical studies have been performed including: ~300 bulls in Brazil, hundreds of mice/rats, heifers, sheep, goats and elephants to name a few. Currently studies are underway at WSU in mice to validate a single injection system (important for applications in wild/feral animals). In 2006, I raised $500K in Angel Investment for the company and licensed the technology to a firm interested in a couple species in Africa. Currently, there are discussions with other groups for specific applications (at various stages of negotiation). The collaborative work with Dr. Reeves team has resulted in a suite of peer reviewed publications and graduate student degrees. Please see the website www.amplicon-vaccine.com for details and a complete publication list on this technology.
