Research Interests
Comparative and functional genomics, genetic susceptibility to
disease, genetics of reproduction.
Research Summary
Current projects involve the investigation of genetic susceptibility and tolerance to bovine paratuberculosis and bovine viral diarrhea, use of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and bead array platforms to genetically characterize and differentiate Wagyu cattle, and the genetic role of aggressive behavior in swine.
