Research Interests

Genomics of Reproduction

Research Summary

My research in reproductive genomics includes mapping of quantitative trait loci and transcriptomes for genetic complexity of female reproduction. We use both candidate gene and genome-wide scanning approaches in identifying genes or genome regions that are responsible for various complex traits related to ovulation, embryo survival and pregnancy.  In the transcriptome analysis, we use a gene-based approach to study the gene expression patterns of different reproductive tissues/organs in vertebrates. We focus on gene clustering analysis, which enables us to gain insight into possible common regulatory factors and pathways involved in reproduction.
